We are excited to celebrate Celebrate Literacy Week 2026 with our school during the week of January 26–30! This year’s theme is “Read, White, and Blue: Celebrating 250 Chapters of America.” Throughout the week, students will engage with American ideas, voices, and innovation through literacy-focused activities and themed spirit days.

💙🎓Important information for Seniors!!

There will be no school on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 💙Enjoy the long weekend as we honor a legacy of leadership and service.

❄️Tickets are on sale for the winter formal. The dance will be held on Saturday, January 17 in the cafeteria. Tickets are $10 for BHS students and $15 for guests. Guest permission slips and tickets MUST be purchased by Monday, January 12th. BHS students may purchase tickets through Thursday January 15th. Pick up permission slips from the front office, and return to Mrs. Roberts in Building 13.

🔥STUDENT SUCCESS SPOTLIGHT🔥 Congratulations to Devin Waller, senior, on earning his SMAW 3G AWS Certification! What makes this even more impressive? Devin originally came just to observe, but after showing outstanding skill and consistency, he stepped up and tested on the spot. Over a demanding 3-hour testing period, he demonstrated determination, focus, and craftsmanship. A huge shoutout to Mr. Hurley, who was able to coach and guide him throughout the process (without hands-on assistance), helping Devin stay confident and locked in. Hard work pays off. First certification earned for our brand-new shop! His certification test did take place at Riveroak Technical College. We couldn’t be more proud of Devin and what this represents for our program and our students’ future. Way to set the standard, Devin!
