Any Junior or Senior still needing an ELA and/or Algebra 1 test score as part of your graduation requirement can sign up for the upcoming NCR ACT and/or CLT. All testing fees are due by Friday 10-9-26. Please be sure to bring exact cash or a check to Mrs. Taylor to pay for your test. CLT test fee is $34.50 and NCR ACT is $43.00.

Come support our Buccaneers Volleyball team as they host a tri-match today at the BHS gym! Barbecue meals are available for $10 during the matches. Extra meals are available beginning at 11:00am while supplies last, so stop by, grab a meal, and cheer on our Bucs!

A little spark to brighten our Friday! Thank you to Three Rivers for sponsoring this week’s Spark Cart! The Be the Light Committee was thrilled to share a special treat with our BHS teachers and staff today, thanks to your generosity. We appreciate you helping us spread a little joy to the people who do so much for our students!

The Mayo Correctional and Suwannee Correctional Canine Teams visited our high school Ag classes today, to share how they train and care for their dogs. Students also had the opportunity to interact with the dogs—including a puppy! The visit was extra special because team member Matt Tompkins is a BHS graduate and former Branford FFA member. We love seeing our alumni return to share their experience with our students! Thank you to both canine teams for taking the time to visit and teach our Buccaneers!

Florida Heiken Children's Vision Program will be at Branford High School. This is a NO COST eye exam & glasses for students that attend BHS. Apply now at https://mobile.floridaheiken.org/. Deadline to apply is October 1.

Yearbook Picture Day for 6th - 11th Grades will be Friday, October 30.

Seniors - this will be your LAST CHANCE to be photographed in your formal drape or tux in order to be in the yearbook. If you have not already had a portrait taken with SWI, please make plans to attend even if you are not usually on campus.

September is Attendance Awareness Month. Today, names were randomly selected from a list of students that were present at school during their assigned class periods. Congratulations to the winners of our Attendance Wednesday!

High school students—have a quick question for Mrs. Hunter? Starting this week, look for her in the cafeteria during high school lunch on select days for Minute Meetings! No sign-up or advance appointment needed—just stop by and ask your question when you see her! Days will vary each week, so keep an eye out at lunch.

Mark your calendars for the next student tailgate with The Crew!

This time, we are gearing up and getting hype for Buccaneer Volleyball vs. Union County on October 5! The tailgate begins at 5:30pm and the game is at 6:30pm. The Crew theme for the night is Pink Pony Club - dress in all of your pink out and/or western gear!

The tailgate is FREE for all students who purchase a ticket to the game. Students may be in season Buccaneer athletes, purchase a student ticket from Coach Wiles at school or on GoFan, or purchase a ticket at the door to get a tailgate wristband.

The first 100 students to the tailgate will be treated to a FREE BBQ sandwich and drink courtesy of our Tailgate Sponsor, Traditions BBQ.

Show up, have fun, be loud, and cheer on the Bucs!

BHS Culinary students catered the 50th year reunion for the Class of 1976 this weekend. Thank you to the Class of 1976 for your support of our program.

Homecoming week has come and gone but one big Homecoming event still remains - the dance is a week away! BHS students make sure to get your permission slips turned in Tuesday or Wednesday to Mrs. Roberts to be able to take part in the fun. Blank forms may be picked up in the front office.
