🏋Congratulations to our Boys Weightlifting Team. They completed this afternoon and are District Runner-up in both Olympic and Traditional. David Lopez is a double District Champion in Olympic and Traditional.


After graduation, Jasmyne Maldonado is answering the call to serve by enlisting in the United States Army as a Combat Medic.
“I plan to further my life by joining the Army as a combat medic. This path will allow me to serve my country while gaining valuable medical training and real-world experience. I want to develop discipline, leadership, and lifesaving skills, while building a strong future for myself through service and personal growth.”
Jasmyne is stepping into a path of courage, commitment, and purpose—preparing to make a real difference. We are proud to see her represent BHS through her dedication to serving others and her country.

Our next Senior Spotlight EmaLynn Worden! EmaLynn is heading to Pensacola State College with a strong plan and a heart for helping others.
“My plan is to go to PSC and become an EMT. After that, I plan on working my way up to becoming an RN while continuing to work as an EMT. I’ve always wanted to be in a career where I can help people in real, everyday situations, and I’m excited to get started and gain experience along the way.”
Inspired by her cousin—who started as an EMT and is now a firefighter paramedic—EmaLynn is following a path fueled by both passion and purpose.
We are proud of you, EmaLynn! Your drive to serve others is going to make a real difference.

Our next Senior Spotlight is Kasey Lee Sapp! Kasey is heading to Bethel College of Music, where she will spend the next year pursuing her calling through worship ministry.
Kasey says, “I am taking this next year to further pursue a life devoted to JESUS, specifically through worship ministry. I’ve always known that I wanted to use my time to reach people with the TRUTH of the Gospel, and music—as well as writing—is one of the many avenues I feel drawn toward. I can’t wait to see what unfolds in this next chapter!”

BHS students had a blast taking part in March Madness, and the excitement all led up to one hilarious final prize — a pie in the face! The winner of the teacher/staff bracket was Mrs. Kelly Bradow, and 6th grader Ryleigh Dasher was selected to do the honors. It was a fun moment for everyone and a great way to wrap up the competition with lots of laughs!
The BHS Spring Art Show is happening April 6–10, and we are so excited to showcase the incredible work of our talented students in the art department! This event gives students the opportunity to have their artwork displayed and judged, highlighting their creativity and hard work.

Sports Physicals & EKG Screenings for BHS Athletes
Branford High School will be offering free sports physicals after school in partnership with Palms Medical on April 21, 2026, in the weight-room building.
EKG screenings will take place on April 22, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. in CC’s classroom.
Parents do not have to be present for either the physical or the EKG. However, students must have a completed physical packet with all required signatures and must complete the online EKG registration before being seen by the medical team.

Important: Students must have an EKG once in middle school and once in high school to be eligible to participate in sports at BHS.

Big things are ahead for Myleigh as she takes the next step in her academic journey at Valdosta State University!
Myleigh plans to pursue her passion for psychology by working toward her Master’s degree—and possibly even a Doctorate down the road. Her dedication to continuing her education and setting big goals is something to be proud of!
She’s also excited to get involved on campus by rushing a sorority and making the most of the college experience.
Myleigh shared that she’s incredibly impressed with VSU’s psychology program and can’t wait to get started.
Let’s hear it for Myleigh—your future is bright, and your BHS family is so proud of you!

Our next Senior Spotlight is Owen Yeomans! Owen will be attending Universal Technical Institute – Orlando to pursue training in Automotive & Diesel Mechanics. With a passion for working with his hands and understanding how things run, Owen is gearing up for a career that keeps the world moving.
From engines to heavy-duty diesel work, he’s ready to dive in, learn the trade, and build a strong future in the automotive industry. There’s no doubt Owen’s work ethic and determination will take him far!

Full Sail University was on campus at BHS today with their Tech Fest presentation for students in grades 8–12. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to explore hands-on, state-of-the-art examples of technology, art and design, and media and communications. From interactive demonstrations to cutting-edge equipment, Tech Fest gave students a glimpse into exciting career pathways and the ever-evolving world of digital innovation. It was an engaging experience that inspired creativity and opened students’ eyes to new possibilities beyond the classroom.










Our next Senior Spotlight is Ryland Roush! After earning acceptance into multiple universities — including Florida State University, the University of North Florida, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Southeastern University — Ryland has chosen to follow her heart and her faith at Southeastern University this fall.
Ryland says, “After exploring these colleges, I have decided to attend Southeastern University in the Fall. I'm so excited to attend a school that is focused on the Kingdom of God and will encourage my own spiritual growth. I plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Psychology there, along with a master’s degree in Professional Counseling. Ultimately, I’d love to have a career in Biblical Mental Health Counseling, while incorporating my love of research, writing, and worship as well.”
With a clear calling and a passion for helping others, Ryland is setting out to make a real impact through faith and counseling. We have no doubt she’s going to do incredible things!

Her outlook on the future says it all. “As long as you follow God’s plan for your life, everything will work out okay.” With her faith, determination, and leadership, we know Kayleigh has an incredible journey ahead.
