The Literacy Committee of Branford Elementary School is excited to announce the Jingle Jog, a festive community fundraiser taking place Saturday, December 13 at 5:15 p.m. on the Branford Greenway during the annual Branford Christmas Festival. The event is held with the generous support of the Rotary Club of Branford.
Participants of all ages are invited to lace up their sneakers, don their favorite holiday attire, and join in a spirited jog—or walk—along the decorated Greenway.

Baby Buc Christmas Shoppe will be opening for students to shop next week, December 16th thru 18th. Flyer and envelopes will be going home with students this week.

Christmas Spirit Week at Branford Elementary School is approaching soon. Get ready for some Christmas cheer!

Parents and students in kindergarten thru 3rd grade are invited to join us this Thursday, December 4th for New Worlds Reading Night at BES 6:00-7:45pm.

Just a reminder Branford Elementary School will be closed Monday, November 24th thru Friday, November 28th for the Thanksgiving holiday. Students and staff return Monday, December 1st.

Branford Elementary School will be collecting new unwrapped toys for the Jackson Timothy Roberts Memorial Toy Drive.

Fall Fun Friday Field Day is this Friday for all students and staff at BES. We are encouraging all grade levels wear their colors for Fall Fun Friday for Color War.

The colors are:

PK - Pink, Kindergarten - Orange, 1st grade - White, 2nd grade - Black, 3rd grade - Green, 4th grade - Grey, 5th grade - Blue, and H Knighton - Purple.

We are collecting non-expired canned or boxed goods for donations. Last day to collect donations is this Friday, November 14th.

Everyone is delighted to have Ms. Carla Hollinger represent Branford Elementary School as our School Related Employee of the Year 2026! Ms. Hollinger keeps a structured computer lab under the direction of Mrs. Dicks and supports enrichment and clubs as well. What a treat to have her on our staff and be selected by her peers!

Branford Elementary School is honored to have Emily Blackmon represent us as our Teacher of the Year for 2026! We appreciate all she does for student enrichment inside the music department at BES as well as clubs and other extracurricular activities.

Tomorrow, Friday, November 7th is the last day to purchase a flag to honor those that sacrifice all for our freedom. Each flag is $1.00. Forms are available in the BES front office.
