Branford High School Senior BETA Club
You are invited to join BETA Club starting your 9th grade year. Honor Roll is used for 9th grade inductions and GPA is used for grades 10-12. GPA requirements - to be inducted into BETA, you must have a 3.8 GPA and to remain an active member, maintain a 3.5 GPA. Once you are inducted, you are a member of BETA club henceforth.
Dues are $20 per year per member.
Volunteer Hours - you must complete a minimum of 10 volunteer hours per school year (they can be combined with other clubs such as NHS).
Meetings - Meetings are scheduled for the entire year and posted on the BETA Bulletin Board (outside of Mr. Braun's office), sent out on Remind, announced the morning of meetings at school, and a printout of meeting dates is available as well. Members are expected to attend meetings. SENIORS must attend a minimum of 3 meetings in order to get their cord to wear at graduation.

What is BETA Club?
BETA Club is an honor service organization. BETA Club follows the motto of "Lead by serving others". BETA Club has participated in food drives, hurricane relief donations, Teacher Appreciation Week, and various other service events at BHS and our town. BETA Club also attends state convention every year in Orlando, where students are encouraged to shine and showcase their creative talents as well as their academic talents. For the past 4 years, BHS BETA Club has placed at state convention earning our club as well as individual students the opportunity to compete nationally each summer. National BETA Convention takes place every June at various cities around our nation. BHS Beta Club has competed nationally at Savannah, GA; Orlando, FL; Oklahoma City, OK; Dallas Fort Worth, TX(this year was virtually due to COVID), and this summer in Nashville, TN.
